Kelda Platt

Kelda Platt - Chartered Landscape Architect

Kelda Platt set up Munro Landscape in 2010 following 7 years working for the Forestry Commission in England. Kelda is a Chartered member of the Landscape Institute and has specialist experience in the area of environmental and rural design. This experience also covers social and community developments, community consultation, brownfield restoration, urban design and greenspace developments.

 

Kelda studied at Leeds Metropolitan University, before a period of time with Randall Thorp Landscape Architects in Manchester. Kelda provides Munro Landscape with a passion for robust and practical design, and brings extensive experience gained by working alongside a broad range of disciplines in previous roles, including civil engineers, soil scientists, environmental scientists, ecologists and foresters.

Simon Brown

Simon Brown - Forester

Simon brings to Munro landscape over 10 years experience of practical forestry work, gained from working in a variety of roles for Forestry Commission both in England and Scotland. Simon's skills range from Forestry and Project Management to Contract Management and Forest Design, with expertise in forest management, harvesting and marketing operations, as well as a range of recreation and habitat mangement projects.

 

Simon currently manages an area of forest covering 30,000Ha in Argyll, as well as providing key silvicultural, horticultural and construction expertise as a director of Munro Landscape Ltd. Simon’s past work with Forestry Commission England included vital roles within the Newlands programme, working alongside specialisms such as soil scientists and environmental scientists as one of the programme’s project managers, to develop suitable and practicable forestry approaches to the delivery of woodland, on the challenging sites of industrial North West England.
