Delamere Forest, CheshireOne of the busiest Forests in England, located in the North West and easily accessible from Manchester and Liverpool, by both road and rail. Delamere is in the process of developing proposals for new build visitor facilities and upgrade to forest trails, visitor access, concert arena and overall branding for signage and interpretation.Involvement for concept, forest-wide masterplanning and visitor centre area masterplan.

Gisburn Forest, LancashireLocated in the rural Forest of Bowland, accessible by a large urban population with an existing and growing mountain bike following, the Forest of Gisburn is under development from a small scale recreation forest, into a new hub for mountain biking and associated recreation. Design work to develop proposals for a new visitor attraction, including new parking, visitor facilities, cafe space, new trails and habitats has been completed and the Forest will undergo development works during 2011.

Newlands Programme, Northwest EnglandA £56 million programme to transform derelict, neglected and under used land within northwest England into Community Woodland sites by the Forestry Commission. Kelda Platt worked within the Forestry Commission team, alongside Foresters, Engineers, Ecologists and Soil Scientists to develop design proposals and oversee on-site delivery and on-going maintenance. The programme development phase was completed in 2011 to leave a legacy of maturing woodland and robust recreational facilities within socially deprived areas of northwest England, transforming many landfill sites, and ex-industrial plots into attractive and well used open space. more information
